CleanWhite™
Antimicrobial LED Lighting
illumiPure’s patented CleanWhite solution is a breakthrough in safe, continuous, and rapid surface disinfection. Scientists have long recognized the threat of surface microbes as a major disease vector.
Trusted by
The CleanWhite breakthrough is the ability to apply a continuous, safe, but substantial dose of antimicrobial energy while enjoying the benefits of overhead lighting.
CleanWhite uses only antimicrobial wavelength spikes and illumiPure’s patented chips to suppress harmful blue light wavelengths.
CleanWhite Kills most latent surface microbes within the first few hours, then continuously suppresses re-growth.
CleanWhite solutions include impurity-free polymer lenses, which eliminate reflection of dose wavelengths back into the fixture. There is also an integrated air and surface disinfection solution available as Air Guardian Plus.
Take care of your working surfaces and each other
As the CleanWhite fixture illuminates, it continuously kills new surface microbes and suppresses the regrowth of biofilms.
Absolute protection
CleanWhite visible light disinfection technology is safe for humans and pets. While disinfecting, CleanWhite wavelengths don’t affect or degrade any underlying surface materials or textiles.
Science backed
The science of visible light disinfection has been studied and repeatedly proven effective microbial species and pathogens in academic journals and peer-reviewed studies for decades.
Premier disinfection
CleanWhite is the first system that can continually disinfect and destroy surface microbes – even those contained within persistent biofilms.
Devices
CleanWhite™
Clean White fixtures are available for healthcare, dental, laboratories, commercial, retail, hospitality, and other industries. Clean White LED light fixtures are available in standard 2'x2' (0.61 x 0.61m) or 2'x4' (0.61 x 1.2m) formats. Depending on quantity requirements, custom formats can be specified by the customer.
Air Guardian Plus©
Air Guardian Plus allows for the simultaneous and continuous disinfection of both air and surfaces. The Air Guardian Plus includes the CleanWhite LED technology with Air Guardian's continuous and safe air disinfection. Clean air, LED light, and disinfected surfaces in one device.

Frequently asked questions
Germicidal UV (GUV) refers to using ultraviolet radiant energy to inactivate bacteria, mold spores, fungi or viruses. When the process is applied in a given location, it has generally been referred to as ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI). Because of the public’s concern about ionizing radiation (e.g., X-rays and gamma rays), the term GUV avoids needless concerns about a link with that type of radiation. Another non-technical term is germicidal light, although “light” is technically only visible radiation.
Yes, UV-C kills living bacteria, but viruses are technically not living organisms; thus, we should correctly say “inactivate viruses.” Individual, energetic UV-C photons photochemically interact with the RNA and DNA molecules in a virus or bacterium to render these microbes non-infectious. This all happens on the microscopic level. Viruses are less than one micrometer (µm, one-millionth of a meter) in size, and bacteria are typically 0.5 to 5 µm.
Yes, if the virus is directly illuminated by UV-C at the effective dose level. UV-C can play an effective role with other methods of disinfection, but it is essential that individuals be protected to prevent UV hazards to the eyes and skin. UV-C should not be used to disinfect the hands!
This question (related to airborne transmission) is too difficult to answer without knowing all of the the associated environmental variables. There is an equation for this, called the Wells-Riley equation. The main variable is airflow dynamics.
The secondary variables to the risk of infection are the particle sizes expelled, the viral load (contagion), inhalation, and time. The best answer I can give is that the optimal protection from anyone in a room that has a viral load from COVID-19 is our Air Guardian solution. That has to do with VENTILATION (airflow) and the extent to which we purify that airflow. Clean air is 100% processed by our fixture and dropped into safe zones that reside within the strata of air that is being inhaled.
Some intricacies of air circulation and airborne infections are covered in our white paper.
Please contact us for a first consultation. This includes on-site room diagnostic with a brief discussion on existing conditions of air flow, lighting requirements, and measurement of current air quality with a particle counter. A sample unit can be viewed and put into operation in your targeted environment to allow you a first interaction with our technology.
You can calculate the energy cost of using Air Guardian in a time period by assuming a Kilowatt price of 0.20 CHF/KW. The device uses 0.107 KW/hour. Assuming a period of use of 8 hours per day and 30 days per month, multiply CHF 0.20 x 0.107kW x 240hrs to get a monthly electricity cost of CHF 5.14 / month.
Our installation partner is located in Central Switzerland and has a long history of offering energy efficient, Swiss normed, electrical installations. Should you have your own maintenance and building staff, the devices will be delivered with operator's manual and installation video.
